Technical standard: GB/T14992 or GB/T14993

Properties: Excellent comprehensive properties across the temperature range of 253 to 700. The yield strength under 650 is first in deformation superalloy. There are also good fatigue resistance, radiation resistance, oxygen resistance, corrosion resistance, as well as good machining, welding, and oxidation resistance.

Uses: Inconel718 Alloy Tube has many applications. It can produce complex shapes and is used extensively in aerospace, nuclear power, the petroleum industry, extrusion dies in the high-temperature range, and in other industries.

Performance and requirements of processes:

1. The gold treatment is the most important factor in determining the level of niobium segregation due to Inconel718’s high niobium content.

2. Steel ingots must not be larger than 508mm to prevent excessive element segregation.

3. The thermal work performance of homogenized alloy is excellent, while the temperature at which the steel ingot can be heated should not exceed 1120.

4. The forging temperature and deformation level of the steel forging are closely linked to the average grain size.

5. The alloy’s welding properties are satisfactory and can be used to weld by spot welding, electron beam welding (argon arc welding), seam welding, spot welding, or other methods.

6. Material properties will vary for alloys with different solutions and aging processes. Because Inconel718 alloy has a low diffusion rate, it is possible to obtain the desired mechanical properties by long-term aging.
