This is a cubic, light gray-colored, chemically stable, insoluble in water. While titanium carbide does not react well with hydrochloric or sulfuric acid it can be dispersed in aqua regia and hydrofluoric acids. Additionally, it is soluble in alkaline oxygen solutions.
