GMS Glycerin monstearate (GMS Glycerin stearate), is made from esterifying long chain fat acid C16-18 and glycerol. It is an non-ionic surfactant. It is suitable for wetting, foaming, and other applications. You also have oleophilic, hydrophilic groups. It’s a transparent white, waxy and transparent solid. It cannot freeze below 58F. Tasteless, odorless, non-toxic. Soluble in vegetable oils. It is also soluble in hot alcohol, hotether and acetone. It is not soluble in water.
